This is also a good keep-away strategy, as she can use her aerials while retreating, being hard to punish. This is very useful to land aerial attacks without having to actually jump. Peach can also perform a technique called float cancel, where her jump is cancelled into a float right before using, in essence keeping her at ground height. Floating greatly improves Peach's recovery, approaches and gimping capabilities. In this state she can input any of her aerials while maintaining the float (as long the button is still held) however doing so will decrease her float time slightly. Doing so will allow Peach to hover in the air for a few seconds, where she can move forward or backwards horizontally. Peach is the only character in the game capable of floating, done by holding the jump button during a jump or double jump. She has slow dash, aerial speed and falling speed, however these are traits often favorable in her favor, since she has a huge amount of follow up options and combos at her disposal. Peach is a character based on Mix-Up combos, as well Heavy Pressure on opponents with her versatile moveset. Has a high learning curve, thus being unpopular in competitive play.Can't deal well against opponents with disjointed hitboxes capable of outranging her.Vegetables can be picked up by opponents and thrown back at Peach.Her recovery can be easily gimped, and her vertical recovery is somewhat low.Lack of Meteor Smash doesn't give her many options against opponents with high recovery.Has problems with approaching, as her only projectile is her Vegetables.Slow movement speed gives her trouble against faster characters.Very light character, being easily KO'ed.Saturns, working even if items are turned off.
It also has a small chance of pulling Stitch Faces, Bob-ombs, and Mr.Vegetables is a great tool for combos and gimping.Peach's Parasol can also K.O opponents during the jumping animation or after Peach closes her Parasol and re-opens it very quickly, but this requires for the opponent to be above Peach (while airborne) and take enough damage.Peach Parasol has a lot of priority and disjointed hitboxes, making her safe against many Meteor Smashes.Great horizontal recovery with Peach Bomber and her floating.All variations of her Forward Smash have disjointed hitboxes.Great aerial combat, with many combos and setups.Can float cancel, allowing her to effectively use aerial moves at ground height.Can float, being the only character in the game capable of doing so.Slow air speed and falling speed, which greatly compliments her combo game and also aids her recovery.
